Cordell Information launches Cordell Assessor

Cordell Assessor is the latest product release from Cordell Information’s stable of web based software platforms from the Costing Solutions Division.

The brainchild of a number of key players within Cordell, the Assessor program will help to speed up the entire process for insurance claims processing and approval times – ensuring that work can be commenced on time and on budget.
 
For over 40 years Cordell has been researching and reporting upon building costs. Cordell Assessor builds upon Cordell’s relationships with some of Australia’s largest insurance companies and provides a building estimating solution to insurance assessors and companies as well as residential builders.

Unlike Cordell’s Estimator V5 program which starts from the ground up when estimating, Cordell Assessor is able to start from a complete building. You simply step your way through the estimate and decide whether each item needs to be removed, replaced, repaired or reinstalled.
  
Each item can then be sent straight to the final estimate, producing a comprehensive report on the spot that can be sent straight for processing. This will help to cut down the time spent on processing so that more claims can be approved.
 
Cordell Assessor’s pricing database has been prepared specifically for insurance claims work covers 19 work categories, including an extensive cleaning category, and more than 4,000 supply and fix prices. This database draws on the extensive resources of Cordell information’s main database of over 12,000 individual  supply and fix prices, and because Cordell Prices are industry standard, you know exactly what is going into the estimate.
 
The Assessor programme represents a revolutionary shift for Cordell. As there is now a product available that can create estimates to rebuild complete buildings, not just start from the ground up, it can help non-building professionals to create comprehensive building replacement estimates for insurance and claims work – thereby reducing the level of knowledge required and speeding up the claims process. It can also act as a checklist of items so that the client can see everything that is included increasing transparency and reducing the chance of errors.
